Clients of Nittany Web Works saw a huge increase in sales during the four biggest online sales days of the year. Sales were UP 41% on average Black Friday through Cyber Monday (11/25 through 11/28) over the previous year, with several clients seeing increases well over 100%.

This is at least partly due to some new marketing strategies and website improvements, along with optimization of existing marketing strategies.

The 4 biggest online sales days of the year are approaching: Black Friday 11/25 through Cyber Monday 11/28.

Online shoppers tend to relate to discounts and sale pricing more than anything during this time, and because conversion rates are so high during these 4 days, ecommerce websites should be able to discount more than usual and still come out on top. If you do not offer a sale, your sales could actually decrease during this time, as your competition will certainly be offering discounts.

Last year Nittany Web Works' clients saw a significant spike in sales during these 4 days, and even an average increase of 11% over the year before. This year is expected to be even larger.

We began a move to the cloud in December 2010, and we are excited to announce that we've finished upgrading and moving our hosting platform!
Our website clients' sites are now hosted on a state-of-the-art, cloud-based hosting platform.

In addition, for our retail ecommerce clients, we've also finished other performance improvements: including the search function, product display pages, and more.

This means pages load 200-500% faster than before, depending on how much dynamic (database) content is on the site pages.

As websites include more and more dynamic, realtime-generated content, hosting and performance improvements are necessary to keep up with how much more taxing these pages are on servers. There is also an increase in demand: more users, on more devices, and with higher-speed connections. We pride ourselves in the continuous investment we put into our hosting infrastructure. About every 12-18 months, we upgrade the hosting platform to meet current demands/needs.
